In Their Words... Comments from OHAAT Recipients, Donors and Volunteers
One House At A Time provided assistance to Levette H. a few years ago. The following is an excerpt from the letter sent by Levette at that time. “Words can’t express the gratefulness I feel for all that One House At A Time has done for me and my family. I thought my life was over and that we would never have the proper living needs in our home. If everybody cared like the people at One House do, this world would be a better place for the less fortunate who face life struggles. Next month, I will be a high school graduate at the age of 37. And if everything works out well, I will have a full-time job and be free from welfare. Thank you once again and God Bless.” ~Levette H. Now, in 2007, Levette is a high school graduate, employed full-time and is no longer on welfare! She has started a mission to feed the hungry, and wants to donate furniture to One House At A Time because she is getting new living room furniture! "We were thrilled to have our furniture put to good use when we moved from our home into our retirement community. We knew we couldn't take everything with us, and we are glad OHAAT was there to help." ~Al and Carol Burger OHAAT Furniture Donors. “2006 wrapped up with One House At A Time delivering Christmas presents to the children of families we helped throughout the year! Thanks to you, over 250 beds and truckloads of furniture helped more than 160 families last year. ”

"Being a part of One House At A Time has given me the opportunity to ‘give back’ by helping others who are truly in need.” ~OHAAT Volunteer.
"I look forward to my weekends and I hope that that will become contagious for each of you and for others as well." ~Anthony Brummans, OHAAT Board Member.
