Sleep Health Summit

  • The CORE at Esperanza 3222 H Street Philadelphia, PA 19134 (map)

Join us for a special event dedicated to raising awareness about the critical role sleep plays in children's health, development, and well-being. This summit brings together referral partners, caregivers, educators, and community members for an engaging conversation about why sleep matters.

The event will feature a keynote address from Dr. Jodi Mindell, a nationally recognized expert in pediatric sleep health, whose research and clinical work have helped shape our understanding of healthy sleep habits in children. Attendees will come away with practical, evidence-based strategies to support better sleep at home, along with a deeper understanding of the connection between sleep and children's physical health, emotional regulation, and academic success.

Following the keynote, a panel of speakers will take the stage, including Joseph Torre of the Resilience Resource Center, Dr. Melissa Xanthopoulos of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and Dr. Becca Hammonds of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, among others. The panel will be moderated by Tamica Tanksley, Writer, motivational speaker and host of 2Sips of T. Attendees will also take part in breakout sessions, among them one led by Monarch Yoga, and can connect with community resource groups tabling at the event, including Philly Families CAN and FAB Youth Philly, among others.

This event ties into our broader mission of ensuring every child has access to a safe, comfortable place to sleep — because a good night's rest starts with having a bed of one's own.
