 Donation Drives, Wishlists & Fundraisers

One of the most impactful ways to support the Beds for Kids program is by hosting a community collection of new bedtime items. You can host a collection at your school, business, or from your home using this flyer, as well donating through our wish lists. Wish list items are shipped directly to our office. Additional donation drive details can be found here.

You can also start an Online Fundraiser to support the Beds for Kids program. Every dollar helps support our mission of ending child bedlessness.

Get Crafty!

You don’t have to be an expert crafter to make no-sew fleece blankets or to tie T-shirt pillows. Help keep a child warm, or give them something extra to hug at night by following these simple patterns. This is a popular activity for school service groups.

Create book bundles

Each child in the Beds for Kids program receives a bundle of age-appropriate books. You can help by tying books into packages to be included in bedtime bags. These are sometimes the very first books that a child will own. Arrange a pick-up of books from our warehouse in Huntingdon Valley, bundle them together at home, and then return the bundles back to the warehouse. Instructions can be found here.

Do the laundry

OHAAT accepts donations of very gently used bedding and stuffed animals, but these items need to be thoroughly washed before we can give them to children. You can help by arranging a time to pick up items, washing them in hot water and drying them on high heat, and then return them to the warehouse. Linens and stuffed animals are sorted by volunteers, but if you find rips or stains on any of them, please discard them. We want children to be proud of the items they receive!

Calling all quilters!

Many local talented individuals create unique quilts and pillowcases for the Beds for Kids program. Some do this on their own, and some do this as part of a quilting or sewing group. Are you ready to get crafty for a cause?
