Amazon Grant News
One House at a Time (OHAAT) is proud to share that the Beds for Kids program has been named as one of 22 recipients of the Amazon Bucks County Community Fund, a $150,000 community grant program supporting local organizations across Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
The fund, which launched in February 2026, was created to invest in projects addressing culture & heritage, digital skills, education & access, health & wellbeing, sustainability & environment, STEM, and hunger. Applications were reviewed and selected by ChangeX, the nonprofit organization that administered the fund on Amazon's behalf, based on funding criteria and potential community impact.
This recognition helps fuel our core mission: ensuring every child in Bucks County has a safe, comfortable place to sleep. Each bedding package includes a stainless-steel bed frame, a memory foam mattress, sheets, a blanket, a pillow, a stuffed animal, age-appropriate books, a toothbrush, and sleep-health education materials, delivered directly to children and youth ages 2 to 20 from low-income households.
“At Amazon, we believe in building stronger communities by supporting meaningful, long-term initiatives that create opportunities and drive positive change,” said Lisa Schooley, Community Engagement Manager at Amazon. “We're excited to see these changemakers put their ideas into action and make a lasting impact across Bucks County.”
OHAAT is honored to be recognized alongside 21 other Bucks County organizations doing meaningful work in our community, including the Maternity Care Coalition, Bristol Township School District, Mitzvah Circle, and the National Giving Alliance, among others. The full list of recipients spans education, health, basic needs, arts, and environmental stewardship initiatives across the region.
We're grateful to Amazon and ChangeX for this investment in our work, and to our staff, volunteers, and donors whose ongoing support makes programs like Beds for Kids possible. Together, we served 3,523 children across 1,626 families in 2025, and support like this helps us reach even more kids in the year ahead.
