An Unforgettable Night

Recapping OHAAT’s Fall Fundraiser

On September 23rd, 100 friends, supporters, volunteers, and community leaders gathered at Well Crafted in Ambler for OHAAT's Fall Fundraiser. It was an evening of connection and generosity, and a reminder of how much can happen when a community comes together for its kids.

The families we serve were at the heart of the night

As guests arrived, they were greeted by photos of Beds for Kids program recipients and quotes from their families placed throughout the room. Each one told a small piece of a bigger story: a child with a bed of their own for the first time, a parent relieved to see their kids finally resting well.

After a few words from Board Secretary Emily Jeske and Executive Director Kate Fay, OHAAT staff, board members, and youth ambassadors shared messages from families thanking OHAAT. In their own words, parents and caregivers shared what a safe, comfortable bed has meant for their children: better sleep, brighter mornings, and a space that's truly theirs. It was one of the most moving moments of the night.

“My children are very thankful and grateful for their beds . Although they still share a room, they no longer have to share beds. It’s given them their independence, space and privacy. Their beds are their sanctuary for rest, peace, and comfort.“

Community leaders showing up for kids

We were honored to be joined by event sponsor Rick Graber of Thrivent and State Representative Melissa Cerrato. Their presence reflects something we see every day: people across our region believe that every child deserves a good night's sleep. Thank you both for standing with us.

Raffles, 50/50s, and friendly bidding

Guests tried their luck on raffle baskets and 50/50 drawings and bid on silent auction items. Every ticket and bid went toward helping kids sleep well. Thank you to everyone who donated baskets and auction items.

Together, the evening raised enough to provide 30 children with a complete bed package: a new mattress, frame, sheets, blankets, pillow, books, stuffed animal, and toothbrush.

Young people helping other young people

A special thank you to the members of our Youth Ambassador Committee, who volunteered throughout the evening. Seeing young people give their time so that other kids have a good place to sleep was a highlight for all of us.

Thank you to our sponsors

We're grateful to our 2026 sponsors, Independence Blue Cross, Gerhard's Appliances, Univest, and Rick Graber of Thrivent, for making this evening and our Sleep Well Campaign possible. Thank you also to Well Crafted for hosting us, and to every guest who came out to celebrate.
