Referral Partners participating in the Reimbursement Program can submit an unlimited number of referrals at any time as long as they reimburse us for our costs. OHAAT’s current cost is $270 for a single twin-size bed and $568 for a twin-size bunk bed.
Important information to consider:
The single twin-sized bed comes with a steel frame with toolless assembly. This option has a 1,200 lb. weight limit, and the mattress is approximately 75 inches (6.25 feet) long and 38 inches (just over 3 feet) wide.
The twin-sized bunk includes a steel bunk bed frame that requires assembly. Instructions will be provided to the family, but the bunk will not be assembled by our delivery team. Two adults are recommended for assembly. There is a 200 lb. weight limit on the top bed, and a 225 lb. weight limit on the bottom bed. The mattresses are approximately 75 inches (6.25 feet) long and 38 inches (just over 3 feet) wide. Federal safety standards stipulate: to help prevent serious or fatal injuries from entrapment or falls, never allow a child under 6 years on the upper bunk of a bunk bed.
OHAAT volunteers deliver Bedding Packages directly to recipients. Deliveries are made within 9 days of each request. OHAAT volunteers do not assemble the beds, but they will put them in whatever room (or rooms) the family specifies. Pick-ups can be arranged if this is more convenient for the family.
OHAAT provides twin-sized beds only. We do not provide cribs, toddler beds, or larger-size beds.
If you’d like to use PHMC funding to request beds, you’ll need an invoice to submit to PHMC with their required application.
To request an invoice:
Contact us at office@ohaat.org or 215-346-6427, and be prepared to provide the DHS case name and number (if applicable) and the number and type of beds needed.
Or, go to www.bedsforkidsprogram.org/invoice and fill out our Invoice Request Form
Additional Items
Dressers
We are currently piloting our dresser program. We are offering a 4 cube shelf and 4 fabric bins. The price is $110 each. This model has been chosen for ease of assembly / greater storage capacity and minimal topple risk over a traditional style dresser
Encasements
Protect the investment in the bed by adding an encasement. The fully zippered mattress protector offers both bed bug and water proofing, ensuring that the mattress is maintained in like-new condition. The encasement is an additional cost of $40.
